I'm looking for an insect that lives amongst the lotus flowers preferably from China or India?
Bumble bee is reported in sanskrit literature in India to have its abode in lotus flowers. It is a large,black omnious looing insect that can bore wood easily but does no harm to the delicate petals of lotus.It makes distinct sound like an aeroplane flying far away from you.Its bite is nasty, so one should keep away from it.
