What did they smell like? Which was better? Did you buy either?
(I'm a perfume -and- candle maniac and love smelling, buying and talking scents lol!)
*Sexual Secret*~Ultra-flirtatious, sexy and luscious to the core. This fragrance has a secret ingredient that lingers on the skin, an aphrodisiac so precious it is never to be revealed, but always remembered.
Fragrance type: fruity oriental
Top notes: red mandarin, pink mango
Middle notes: rose, lotus flower, jasmine
Low notes: white musk, amber, cashmere wood
*Isle Of Pink*~Think Caribbean beach club and cute cabana boys, with a flirty blend of raspberry sorbet, iced tulip and vanilla bean. It's a spring break vacation, in a bottle.
Fragrance type: fruity floral
Top notes: raspberry sorbet, pink currant, frozen mango, sugar apple, coconut water
Middle note: iced tulip, heliotrope, freesia water, rose nectar
Low notes: amber, cashmere musk, vanilla bean
Both sound scrumptious! And yes, I am a VS scent junkie! =D
Anyone tried Victoria's Secret *Sexual Secret* or Limited Edition *Isle Of Pink* perfumes?
I like anything that doesn't smell too strong, but smells fresh, not too subtle, yet not too obvious.
I bet my boyfriend would love the sexual secret smell! I know he'll pick that one without even smelling it because of the name!!!
Reply:My personal favorite in Victoria"s Secret scents is LOVE SPELL
Reply:As a man I can tell you which I prefer to smell. Sexual Secret. Usually I enjoy the more berryfruit scents on a woman, but between those two it's a clear winner.
Reply:Question is for sexual secret. Guys like the smell of gal while sex and not the perfume. I would prefer the smell of arm pits which exhale the sex urge. The colon water is best for sex drive . You seemed to be appealing so no need to have any perfume. Think that after application of perfume, if there is no appeal and if you are so called , what way the perfume can help.
Reply:I just got the limited edition Isle of Pink. I love it!

Personalized leather bracelet?
My boyfriend of a long time practices Nichiren buddhism. For Christmas, I want to get him a nice leather bracelet with nam-myoho-renge-kyo and the lotus flower involved in it somehow (perhaps engraved in it, or on a charm). Where might I find something like this, or a place that would custom engrave it onto a pre-made leather bracelet? Would a bead shop sell charms of buddhist symbols? I've looked on the internet but can't find exactly what I'm looking for. I live in the metro Detroit area and it'd be cool if someone could reccomend a place for me.
Personalized leather bracelet?
alright, well .. you are in detroit but im going to give you my personal experiences. there is a place in montclair, NJ %26amp; they are called beads. its a place where you can make jewlery %26amp; they have TONS of beads %26amp; im sure you can get what you are looking for. i mean, if you are coming on a trip to NYC or NJ anytime soon that would be perfect, but otherwise, im sure there is a place near you where they sell it. dont loose hope, ask around. good luckk♥
Reply:well, since it is so difficult to find the one in your mind, i suggest u make it yourself, especially it will be a gift.
by the way, u can make it with the joint effort with ur boy friend, surely u need tell him a white lie that the bracelet is for others such as ur borther.
If the braclet is made this way ,i think it won't be more precious and will be a lasting sweet memory for both of u.

Fashion Designing tips?
I need a lot of tips from experienced people...
what not to do and what will impress.
What materials is recommended..
(I'm not really good with water colours but I can manage)
I'm doing on flowers, esp lotus and lilies.
Fashion Designing tips?
I would reccomend buying Prismacolor colored pencils (Prismacolor Verithin and Scholar sets are great!) and some Prismacolor markers. They can be kind of pricey, so I reccomend Dick Blick (the link is in my sources). Otherwise, it's fun to just play around with a current style and make a develop new fabrics and prints for it. Then it will be your original design. Good luck!
Reply:i guess u need pens, pencil sketch book appliction
Reply:copic markers are great for the colourings. strong lines to present the whole image of the figures. weak lines doesn't shows confidence and professional.

Hey i just got a few questions on my new tattoo! please help!!!?
On saturday i got my tattoo of my lotus(flower) on my right arm (top) ...the first night it looked great..i took care of it like any other of my tats ...A%26amp;d ...dial soap to wash....trust me i took care of it...well today is day 3 and its startin to look like the blue shading which is like water around the flower has some clearish yellow stuff coming out of my pors in certain spot....everything else is fine...the red the yellow pink ect is all perfect just the blue looks weired! any suggestion.? i even went and got a more exspensive "aquaphore" to put on the incase it was the a%26amp;D doing it
let me kno if u need details
Hey i just got a few questions on my new tattoo! please help!!!?
Your tattoo is healing %26amp; this is part of the process. It's plasma. Keep it washed 2-3 times per day with soap %26amp; water for the next few days. Keep using the Aquaphor-A %26amp; D %26amp; heavy petroleum based products can draw ink out of the skin. Also be sure you only use a LIGHT coat of Aquaphor. Only keep it moist with the product %26amp; dont allow it to scab.
Reply:Usually A%26amp;D is the best stuff (I have 8 tattoos). It sounds like a problem my hubby had - he had a reaction to one of the inks... I can't remember if his reaction was to red or blue.
My suggestion is to go show it to your artist (hopefully someone that you know and that is honest). Our artist had my hubby let it heal completely and then he went back over that area using a different type of ink, because he ended up losing most of the ink.
Reply:the best thing to do is let it breathe. don't keep it covered in goop all the time. WAsh it daily, 2-3 times with Dial and keep it dry and clean. Wear loose fitting clothing til it heals. I think the yellow gunk is either the a%26amp;d or a reaction to the ink. go back and have them check it out, it should look a lot better in a few days
Reply:Don't overdo it with washing and too much a-d wash with a mild soap once a day and use no more a-d than necessary to keep it slghtly moist. If problems persist go back to your artist for advice. sometimes after a tatoo is done some color will have to be touched up, usually free of charge.
Reply:the A%26amp;D shouldn't have done that, because i've always used that for my tattoos. and if you are taking care of it like you said you were, i'd go back to the tattoo shop and ask them whats going on. after it's healed .. if it doesn't look that great, they should touch up for free.
Reply:I think that is normal for that color i have blue on one of my tatoos that did the same thing as it was healing i also use a%26amp;d but now it looks fine
Reply:i think u kinda tryed to much to take care of it , mine looked the same for a while but after it healed it was okay , dont worry !

Buddhist tattoo?
I have the "om mani padme hum" mantra in sanskrit on my wrist and a lotus flower and om on my stomach. I would like another tattoo, preferably on my upper back/side area. I am buddhist and was thinking about maybe getting...
"I will not let anyone walk through my mind with their dirty feet" - Mahatma Gandhi
"If you understand,
Things are just as they are;
If you do not understand,
Things are just as they are." - Zen Verse
I do not want my tattoo done in english. I would like it in sanskrit. Where can I find these quotes PROPERLY translated into sanksrit? I was thinking about having the quote snake up from my hip upwards. I already have a tattoo on my lower back so that area is taken up.
How do you think that would look? I am also considering a lotus design up my side if I can't find translations for those quotes.
Any help would be appreciated. And please don't say anything negative, if you want to be negative then don't bother answering my question! :)
Buddhist tattoo?
i think that, just for the sake of symmetry, you could do aquote snakeing up either side and a sketchy lotus in the middle of your back. it might be too many for you tho, personal choice. i love the quotes and the concept designs. i was thinking about getting a quote by the dalai llama, but im not buddhist and i wouldnt want to insult anyone. good luck with whatever you do
Reply:Why would you, who knows this bag of skin is temporary spend time and money getting it decorated for corporal and ego satisfaction?
Not a very buddhist concept.
Sort of like braiile at the drive-thru window at the bank.
Reply:I am not sure where to get the proper translation, but I love this idea for a tattoo. I hope that it works out.
Reply:Here is the Tibetan script for 'om mani padme hum' I am plannin to get this tattooed on my inner forearm, minus the corner designs and it'll be in black.
http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh111...
Reply:And what is Buddha's take on tatoos? Most religious text frowns on them so it would be quite hypocritical having a zen verse printed on your ***.
Reply:Bottom line Father God said thou shalt not put graving images on thy body, that means no tatto's, and thou shalt not worship any engraved images, what this all means is God has his mark on you and you have the light of the Good Lord in you, you don't need anything to make you beautiful for you already are.
Reply:try this.. ♥
Reply:I bet that will look really pretty! I'm not sure where to find proper translations, but snaking up your hip would look gorgeous!
PS
Also having at lotus flower going up your side may seem like a good idea at the time, but think ahead, do you really want THAT many tattoos later on?

Can someone tell me how to pronounce padprassdscha? I think it's Hindi?
It is the color of a sapphire and is supposed to translate to lotus flower or lotus blossom in English.
Can someone tell me how to pronounce padprassdscha? I think it's Hindi?
It is an orange sapphire- very rare ,beautiful and costly.
PAD PA RAH ZJAH
Reply:I'd like to buy a vowel, please.
Reply:it should be,
PADPRAKSHALAN a sanskrit word,
paad praxalan (pronunciation)
means, to wash legs of God (statue) with saffron water or 'panchamrut'
i don't think,
any word like padprassdscha
or paschataap which is regrett.
Reply:NOPE, NOT HINDI.
Reply:It is not in Hindi, It is in Sanskrit and pronounce as written.
Reply:It is a misspelt sanskrit word
Pada = feet, Padma = Lotus , Sparsha = touch
so i think it should be "Padma pada sparsha'
which would meen touching your lotus feet

Guruvayurappan?
Why is the stem of the lotus flower held in Guruvayurappan's right hand inserted into the toe of his right foot?
Guruvayurappan?
Guruvayurappan is a form of Vishnu, the lotus he is holding is a symbol of protection, enlightenment, but also of healing. He walks upon lotus feet, so the statue uses the stem to connect the hand and the divine feet.
King Janamejaya, who's father died by snakebite, killed millions of snakes for which he was cursed with leprosy. He took refuge under the feet of Sri Krishna, Guruvayarappan, and dreamt of great joy holding the hand of the god and the lotus was passed over his body, curing him of leprosy.
Reply:Guruvayurappan is not telling why?
The stem may be too long.

Cute King-Size sheet sets? Do they exist, haha?
I'm 16 and I just went from a queen-sized bed to a king-sized...I have been looking all over for really cute, modern bed sheets and comforters...but I can't seem to find any.
Do you have any suggestions where I could find a comforter %26amp; possibly a sheet set with a modern, cute look to it, (the one I was first looking at but only came in queen size was all black with a giant white graphic lotus-flower print...I would like something with the colors black, white, grey, or pink in it.)
Thanks : )

What object should i select?
the lotus temple, delhi was made taking lotus flower as the concept. similarly i as a student of architecture want to design a temple for Sai Baba taking some object for a concept which is attached to Sai Baba and which can be converted into a building as was done with the lotus temple delhi.
What object should i select?
Isn't it all just "maya" anyway?
Reply:We shouldn't worship false prophets. Of fools who claim to be God. God doesn't have a material body.
Reply:Stick to the concept of Buddhism and worry less about the concept of architecture. Believe and let it flow.
Reply:In india the Temple were contructed by the rules of Shilpa Kala Shastra.
All the Temples resemble the nature there are three types of temples in
South You have peetha type of temples
North You have Linear type
East it is mixer of both
so Please considers Nature not the things Babas use

Which wrist tattoo idea do you like better??
- an outline of a lotus flower?
http://www.notmike.com/images/lotus.gif
(or maybe i should save a lotus tattoo for colors somewhere else on me???)

-eye of horus??

AND i dont wna hear it needs to mean something!! ALLLL of these have a special meaning to me and i want all of them eventually....i'm just trying to decide which i would like on my wrist....
and im thinking IF i got the ankh or eye of horus on my wrist i'd do them a diff color..not just BLACK...
your thoughts!?!!!!

Are you egyption or something like that cause i know from social studies egyptions are like big worshipers and i understand how all these are very important to you.
I would go with the lotus flower it is very pretty =)

You should do something like that, without what I have one there.
Like with other words (:

For something to be right out there for lots of poeple to see i would go with the lotus flower, its dainty and pretty and you wont have loads of stupid questions about it.
I do like th elotus for the wrist the best... but of course its your body!
Reply:i really like the lotus or the white dove.
Reply:Whichever one you do, make sure you can use a watch to cover it up when you go to work.
Reply:someone likes egypt, well personally id go for lotus because it has a less significant meaning then the others. people are goin to ask you what they mean (egyption people might think something of it, bein quarter myslf i think its a bit iffy) and the thing about tattoos is that they need some significance to you and have a meaning, sure you could just like the design, but you should make this decision yourself not askin for other people opinions, its your arm not any one elses. you might get the eye done on someone elses opinion, but you might end up regretting it and wanting the ankh. if your a christian though or made peace with something, consider the dove.
Reply:sorry about the people who don't read the question, and all the ignorance..
and now to the question, i love all of them, but i think the ankh would look awkward on the wrist, the rest of them (which ever you choose) will look good IMO. my favorite would have to be the lotus [colored in (as someone above me has said)]
Reply:honestly I like the outline of the lotus flower better..
I personally think wrist tattoo's are the craziest tattoo's people get.. I have a friend that has to wear large band-aides on her wrist every single day while she is at work because of her wrist tattoo's violate her works tattoo policy..
Point is, when she got the tattoo's they were "hot" and "cool" but now they are a nuisance to her because of the placement, not the design..
In 10 years when you are trying to get a "professional" job, they will haunt you.
Reply:i'm partial to the dove b/c im christian but the flower one is really cool too
Reply:I think that the lotus flower is the prettiest, especially if you get it in a light pink color.
Reply:i like the dove but it depends if you mean on the inside or outside of your wrist
Reply:Those are really ugly. Not a fan.
Make up your mind BEFORE you get inked, okay?
Reply:I think the dove would look great on the inside of your wrist!
Reply:If all of these have meaning to you then for the wrist I'd go with the eye of the horus or the dove. I actually have a dove tattoo on my foot but it worked better there because i did a cloud and star background piece to it....
The lotus flower needs to be somewhere that you can add more detail and color to it and the wrist is a small area..{maybe even the foot} =]
The ankh that could work on the wrist but in a small version but i'd still think that would look better either on your shoulder, your chest or maybe your neck or somewhere like that.
My personal opinion - would be the eye of the horus on the wrist and really i'd do it all black maybe with some grey shading or something to make it stand out or even color in the eye to your favorite color or something....that would be hot!!!!
Reply:I love the horus one!! My english teacher actually has the ankh on one wrist and a eye of horus on the other. They look awesome on her!
Reply:Well if they al mean something why not get them all but in different spots?
Reply:IMHO the lotus with color would be the classiest of those designs for a wrist tat.
Reply:outline of a lotus flower
Reply:i like the ankh specially for what it stands for LIFE!!!
and goddess used to have it in their fingertips....also it was used as an amulet.
It's cute, small, meaningful, historical, I would say this a good selection.

The meaning of Swastikas and teacups-Hinduism-Buddhism?
I've been trying to figure out the meaning of some brick symbols on a house in Bayonne, NJ: A row of ten Swastikas above which are two teacups on the left and right. Between the teacups is what I believe to be a lotus flower.
I know swastikas and the lotus flower were religious symbols associated with Hinduism and Buddhism before the Nazis stole them.
Anyone have any idea what the teacups could represent?
Any idea what the combination of all three of these symbols stands for?
It seems so random in the middle of Bayonne, NJ. There are no other houses around like it.
The meaning of Swastikas and teacups-Hinduism-Buddhism?
I'm intrigued too
When You say Tea Cup Do you mean as a Westerner would describe with a handle or the way a Chinese Person would describe Without
If it is without It may symbolize an offering bowl or a light holder
If You look at my 360 you will see the Swastika is it should be displayed on the chest [it is also displayed on the hands and soles of the feet too]The correct way The Nazis reversed it
Edit
There could be a Chinese Buddhist connection
The symbol for Swastika and ten Thousand is "Wan"
The Chinese hold the Swastika to be a lucky symbol
There is some significance with the number Ten Thousand It represents All things In the same way we say The whole lot They say Ten Thousand Things
There is also a Buddhist Temple in America called Ten Thousand Buddhas The ten swastikas may therefore represent Ten Thousand
In all the other Schools of Buddhism the Swastika is usually represented as a single symbol
The lotus represents Purity and while this is represented throughout all the schools of Buddhism It does tend to show up far more in Chinese Buddhism
If Your tea cups have no handles then there may be a Chinese conection
Is the area You speak of in or near a Chinese Comunity If it is It may be worth Your while making inquiaries there
I could do with a cup of tea after all that Can I borrow one of those cups
May this help
Reply:A popular depiction of the Aum syllable in the Devanagari script (ॐ).
Aum (also Om) is a mystical or sacred syllable in the Hindu, Jain and Buddhist religions. It is placed at the beginning of most Hindu texts as a sacred exclamation to be uttered at the beginning and end of a reading of the Vedas or previously to any prayer or mantra and also is said in the beginning of any puja (religious ritual). The Mandukya Upanishad is entirely devoted to the explanation of the syllable.
Reply:Actually, swastika is more a Jain symbol than a Hindu symbol.
Swastika in Jainism represents the four-fold Path to Enlightenment preached by Jina tirthankaras.
However, in Hinduism too, it is popularly used as a charm to ensure prosperity and well-being.
Contrary to what Western enthusiasts want to believe, Swastika in Hinduism does not have any spiritual significance, and is never mentioned in any scripture. It is just a popular motif, and has more worldly motivation.
Reply:Interesting and I don't have an answer, but will be watching to see what you find out. It does seem odd though, but I love odd.
Reply:"Generally, people regard that swastika symbols mean "good fortune", but most people have forgotten the very original meaning of the symbols. The very origin of swastika symbols is not from human world but from Buddha's paradise. It is a mark on Buddha's body that represents the Buddha's level and status in heaven."

What do you think of my tat?
http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y22/eva...
I started this tattoo here in Japan a few days ago. This is not the completed product. I have about 10 more hours to go. I know that there is no way to change it now, but I was just curious what other people thought of it. I wanted to get a Japanese style tattoo, and I am really satisfied with it so far. I brought in the design for the lotus flower and skull, and the artist freehanded the background. I was also thinking of coloring the lotus flower. It may look colored now from a distance, but those are actually a series of very fine lines. I like the idea of some color against a black and white background. Any ideas for color, or would it look better to keep it all B%26amp;W?
What do you think of my tat?
that's freaking amazing
as for colors, it'll look cool if you added blue or red into the flowers
not a lot, just few lines or something
and if you added fine blue lines onto the other lines, that would be cool too
that artist is really good
Reply:Dont just go black and White add some color. Like make the tat fade. Starting from the middle out, or from the side out. Well like a beam of light that fades as it goes farther. With whatever colors u like.
Hope this helps somewhat.

D.Gray-Man question #2?
okies.... i wuz just wondering...does Kanda ever find the person that he's looking for? you know, the one he reffers to as 'a person'...i wonder....'cuz if he doesn't, the lotus flower that he has will wilt, and then he'll die! That would be bad, right?!
D.Gray-Man question #2?
Probably.
Reply:Eventually, he'll see or meet that person again. Keep reading the series or watch it, and you'll see. Of course, he'll die.

Fun Math Question!!!!!!!!!!!!!Easy Best!!!!!!!!!!?
Here you go, show all work:
The square root of half the number of bees in a swarm have flown out to a blueberry bush. In adition, one female bee is flying around a male bee that got stuck in a lotus flower the evening before. Eight-ninths of the whole swarm remain in the hive. How many bees are involved in activities outside the hive in all?
Fun Math Question!!!!!!!!!!!!!Easy Best!!!!!!!!!!?
let the total no of bees=x
sqrt (1/2x) + 2 + 8/9x = x
sqrt (1/2x) = 1/9x - 2
9 sqrt (1/2x) = x - 18
square both sides
81/2 x = x^2 - 36x + 324
81 x = 2x^2 - 72x + 648
2x^2 - 153x + 648 = 0
(2x - 9)(x -72)=0
x=9/2 (reject coz no. of bees cant be fraction)
or x=72
no.of bees involved in activities outside the hive
=sqrt (1/2x) + 2
=sqrt 36 + 2
= 8

Since when...?

Recently launched fabric conditioners (in the UK) include 'Black Diamond %26amp; Lotus Flower' and also 'White Diamond %26amp; Lotus Flower'. Do you reckon the diamonds actually add anything to the conditioner, or are they simply a marketing ploy to make the product seem posher?

What your fav. flowers?and why ?
my fav. flowers is sunflowers, lily, and lotus.
What your fav. flowers?and why ?
I have to pick? I love them all, hostas are near the top, they are beautiful, lots of variety, and nearly carefree. Wildfowers of all kinds, esp. violets, trilliums, columbine, ginger, Solomon's seal, hellebores.,Jacob's ladder, celandine poppy, ferns, I can't chose. They make me feel good, is why.
Reply:hoya and succulents are fun... Right now I am raising indoor vegetables... tomatos, dwarf lemon tree, and an herb garden... yesterday I bought a beautiful geranium too...a double white flowering... I am most excited about the fruit trees I am planting on our property... almonds, cherry, plum, apple, pomegranate..... I have a winter garden going too... cabbage, brussel sprouts and broccoli....
its so hard to decide which is my favorite!
I too am looking forward to growing sunflowers in the spring.
Reply:I love petunias. The variety of types and colours is huge, once planted, they often scatter seeds and in my area with no really cold weather, they re-shoot and grow again and again. The cover patches of ground with glorious colour and can look stunning in a hanging basket also. They are not great as cut blooms, but you can grow pots of them and bring them indoors to stand and look magnificent while they are at their peak. They represent a casual not too haughty look to me too and just seem friendly and welcoming. Great value just for a couple of bucks and most people can grow them.
Cheers

Reply:Wild orchids because they are beautiful and smell exquisite..And also Dandellions, why because my boys, ever since they were little have gone out every summer and picked me a "bouquet" of Dandellions and presented them to me with a big smile on their faces........even though I have severe hay fever. LOL memorys I will treasure forever.
Reply:I love the new disease resistant Earth Kind Roses. One specific to this category is Double Knockout Rose Red or Pink. These roses flower from spring til frost without much care. They get about five feet tall and four feet wide. They are easier to grow than almost all other plants outside. Check them out. I have planted hundreds of them in the last couple of years for my clients and have had no one regret that they planted them.

For Hindus...?
I wanted to know if this passage I found is really from any Hindu sacred scriptures and if so, can you please tell me from which text. Thank you.
"In the center of the castle of
Brahman, our own body,
there is a small shrine in the
form of a lotus flower
and within can be found
a small space.
We should find who dwells there
and we should want to know him
And if anyone asks, 'Who is he
who lives in a small shrine
in the form of a lotus flower in the
center of the castle of Brahman?'
We can answer:
'The little space within the heart
is as great as the universe.
The heaven and the earth are there;
the sun, the moon, the stars;
fire and lightning and winds...
For the whole universe is in Him and
He dwells within our hearts."
For Hindus...?
I believe that you have referred the following Chandogya Upanishad:
In the center of the castle of Brahman, our own body, There is a small shrine in the form of a lotus flower and within can be found a small space.
We should find who dwells there and we should want to know him. And if anyone asks, "Who is he who lives in a small shrine in the form of a lotus flower in the center of the castle of Brahman?"
We can answer: "The little space within the heart is as great as the universe. The heaven and the earth are there; the Sun, the moon, the stars; fire and lightening and winds ... For the whole universe is in Him and He dwells within our hearts."

Translation of chinese word "hiren"?
I use lotus flower names for a breeding sim I play on, and 'hiren' (maihiren, sokuhiren, benikunshiren, etc) comes up alot and Ive never been able to find a translation for it, does anyone know what the word means in English?
Translation of chinese word "hiren"?
Hiren isn't the word youre after it is 蓮 REN which meaens lotus 蓮華 RENGE - lotus flower

Yes chinese Characters, the reading you have given is the Japanese reading. The fact that all these types of Lotus end end Hi is by chance, they all have different characters.
renge means ハスの花 (from a Japanese Dictionary) or lotus blossom, but can also include sometimes water lillies. It can be written two ways 蓮華 蓮花
Both 花 and 華 are usually read as ka, but this is a special case, they are read as ke. 蓮華 is by far the more common usage.
The word Renge was introduced into Japan with Buddhism probably. Because the readings of Chinese have changed over time there are different readings in Japanese. The old Buddhist readings tend to be Ke. example
華厳宗 Kegonshu - Kegon Demonination of Buddhism.
曼陀羅華 mandarake - the name of a flower
etc etc
Reply:It's Japanese. Not Chinese.
"Hiren isn't the word youre after it is 蓮 REN which meaens lotus 蓮華 RENGE - lotus flower"
In Chinese, it's (Lian2 hua4) 蓮 hua4 [I don't have Chinese software, so can't give the charcter]
hua4 = flower(s) in the above.
But "蓮華 RENGE - lotus flower" is wrong.
華 is pronounced "ka" in Japanese, not "ge".
But also 華 doesn't mean flower(s), but means "glory, extravagant, luxury, etc..." in modern Chinese or Japanese. In ancient Chinese writing, 華 is very similar, but don't mean the same, to the word "flower" hua in Chinese.
華 (hua2) is pronounced almost the same as the Chinese word for flower(s) (hua4) in Mandarin Chinese.
In Japanese, both are pronounced ka in Sino-Japanese.

Help with tattoo?
i want a tattoo on my hip but i want to know if it will stretch or look good after some time. im thinking ether a lotus flower or chinese symbols please help me to decide whether i should get a tattoo there or not!
Help with tattoo?
Here's a good reason NOT to get it !
Reply:if you already have some tattoos then why all of a sudden this one u r worried about stretching?? all are gonna stretch! good luck deciding!
Reply:its a tattoo..a bit of artwork...on your skin..i dont think its going to stretch too bad and id be more concerned about the pain being too severe there then another place..plus the whole chinese symbol and lotus thing is very over done..are you even from that sort of background? i mean if youre going to go and take the whole plunge of getting a tattoo..go and do it! dont second guess yourself or putz around it if you really arent serious about the whole ink..needle...permanent thing..youre missing the whole point of it then
Reply:I have tats and I would strongle recomend not to get them unless it will be somewhere you can cover with clothes because when you are an old person you will wish you would not have gotten them.
Reply:dont do it ,i have many and i wish i did not.
Reply:if you're a girl- i bet it will stretch.
depending on your age- it could stretch.
if you get pregnant- it will stretch.
see it, it's ugly. i wouldn't do it.
good luck
Reply:Do what you feel is right for you. Plus you already have tattoos so you understand the concept of them being for LIFE. Who cares if some people think tattoos make you automatically white trash. It's your body not theirs.
As for the Chinese thing, yeah why not but DO NOT get a translation from the net, neither from here or the online translators. I got a tattoo in hebrew and before having it, i asked a translation on yahoo Q/A and got 5 different replies.
I went to Israel (i wanted modern hebrew, not Kabala) and asked random people. When i had a matching answer, i made my tattoo.
Reply:In the future if you get pregnant it will stretch, and to have something forever I would be sure and ask help to decide between a couple. Can you read Chinese symbols, because the tattoo artist may have a crude sense of humor and your tattoo may not mean what you want it to.
Reply:Do yourself a favor, don't get it.
Reply:here you can find some nice tattoo idea too :

Reply:DO NOT GET A TATTOO! You will become instant trash and you might as well find the nearest trailer park to live in for the rest of your life.

HIP TATTOO...? symbolic?
okay so i want to get a lotus flower because it symbolises to not forget where im coming from. [[ever read the odyssey?]]
is that sexy or no? just a little one. symbolic things arent typically sexy, are they?
HIP TATTOO...? symbolic?
yeah i think so
i think tattoos should always mean something because if it doesnt then its not as special.
Reply:If you are unsure about a tat ,,,,, try this simply little thing.......
get a good friend or even the tattoo artist to but the stencil of what you want on your hip,,,,,, if you want go as far as to color it in with Sharpe markers that way you have a few days to look at it and if you don't like it just wash it off.
a tattoo artiest might do it for a few dollars , but its a whole lot cheaper then removing a tattoo.
I use this method on a few people before i have tattoo them.
very very sexy on the hip
Reply:The more confident you are with yourself the sexier you come across. I recently got a tattoo of a butterfly, symbolic of the soul leaving its body. I thought it was too typical at first, but i really wanted it, so i got it. Everyone tells me how sexy it is. So my advice is just do what you really want to do. It's going to be on your body forever. You should check if that is the true meaning of it though.
Reply:Umm...Okay even if the person has a "stupid looking" tattoo thats in general society's view to the person. Down deep the person has a strong meanings for his / her tattoo "DONT CARE WHAT OTHERS SAY" Believe in yourself and the things that mean alot to you
Reply:I would suggest you wait 30 days. If you still want the tatoo, feel it is somehow sexy and tasteful, proceed carefully. I know several people that have thought they wanted a tatoo and got it. Then they had second thoughts and spents hundreds if not thousands of dollars to have them slowly and painfully removed. Think this one over carefully because this is a heavy commitment to make. You can't take it out like the trash!!
Reply:I think that tattoos should be symbolic and that they are meaningless and stupid if they aren't. Symbolic is definetly sexy in my opinion, and a good conversation starter too.

Got any ideas for a Tatoo.?
I am thinking of a lotus flower on my ankle but I thought something small and feminine on the outside of my wrist would be great.
What would be small and feminine that would be pretty?
Please bear in mind I am 52 years old.
Better late than never.
Got any ideas for a Tatoo.?
I think it's AWESOME that you are going for a tattoo! My paternal grandmother got her first one for her 80th birthday-a little rose on her chest. (She passed away as a result of a car accident 8 years ago.)
I think getting on your ankle or calf would probably be better, as it is easier to be covered up if the occasion calls for it.
Reply:52?Me too.The outside of the wrist does get alot of sun,so take that into consideration.I designed most of my tattoos.
A butterfly maybe, with a hidden message on the wings?
Hobbies or other interests?
Good Luck.
Reply:butterfly,dragonfly,hummingbird , ladybug ....
there are lots of cute, femanine things to choose from - tho some are overused.i suggest something that has meaning to you - something special with a story behind it.

Kingdom Hearts Lotus Forest?
I am trying to give the yellow flower the potion to make me big again. But when I target the flower, and then use hi-potion on it, it doesn't do anything? I may be using the wrong potion as someone stated before, but I don't know where to get the correct potion?
Kingdom Hearts Lotus Forest?
You should have some.... but if you dont, go to traverse town and buy some potions at the item shop, the one with huey duey and luey..... they cost 25 muney each...
:^(
Reply:use a regular potion, a regular potion is one that says "Potion." go back to traverse town to the general store where donald's nephews are and you can get them there. or in various places around the map. Go back to traverse town. When you arrive, start from the big door you went out of to go to wonderland. There should be a cafe with a whole bunch of chairs. Go towards it and there should be a lighted door, walk through that, and you will end up in the shop, if not go around the building till you reach the door, go inside, click buy, and in the inventory it should say "Potion" buy like 10 of them if possible, or 5, you can't get enough of them. There you go
Reply:go to gamefaqs.com and go to the fags it should tell you there
Reply:go get a potion. it is called potion, not hi potion,or,mega-potion
then go to the flower and use the potion.but watch out at the end or wonderland u have to fight a boss if u win u get the blizzard magic.but if u find all the evedince u get the blizzard power.and when u show the evedince to the queen and she mixs it up,don't worry the evedince just switch sides.so if u have 1 evedince and it is at a end of the line of evedince just pick the one at the other end. hope this helped out.

I wanna get a tattoo. I need CREATIVE suggestions.?
I like anime, animals, sushi, lotus flowers, the colors back and pink. fav movies, be cool, Idle wild, memoires of giesha. I plan to join the navy. I also like fantasy things like elfs and fairies. There is a little about me to help you think.

if you need other people to give you and idea for YOUR tattoo, you shouldn't be getting one...

Reply:A little lily; from Memoirs of a Geisha, the name Sayuri means "little lily." I would do a tiger lily, beautiful symbol of the wild. Also, there was "Princess Tiger Lily" from Peter Pan, who was a symbol of a wild, fierce and beautiful girl. That might appeal to your fantasy side.
Reply:since u said u like animals and u wanna join the navy maybe u should get a eagle but instead of its normal colors get in the color if the american flag
Reply:You know what's creative and original? A design you think of yourself. I think that if you're asking others what you should get, you are just getting a tattoo for the sake of getting one, not because you really want it. You are not ready for one.
When you think of a design that you LOVE, and you have thought about it for a while, then you are ready.
Reply:I suggest something that would last a lifetime. Your zodiac symbol, for example. Or your birthstone. Something that represents you - and will never change.
Lotus flowers are also something that would be quite pretty, and wouldn't be regretful later on down the road - Perfect for a tattoo!
I don't recommend anything like anime, movies, or anything like that... Your tastes can change, and the last thing you need is something you'd permenantly be annoyed with. :)
Reply:get a picture of boobs tattooed on you so you wouldn't have to find a picture of someone elses on the internet or strech the neck of your shirts to try to show yours.
Reply:Well, I have 10 tattoos and all I can recommend is, be absolutely 100% SURE of what sort of statement you're trying to make, because once that ink hits your skin, it's permanent, baby! (When lasering becomes cheaper, I'm going to have most of mine lasered off.) On my left forearm, I have a tiny tattoo of my cat (taken from a photograph) it's outlined in black, and shaded, but with green eyes and a pink nose. (yes, that's how much I love my cat!) I would go with your gut instinct on this. Ask yourself, will I regret getting this anime, animal, sushi (?) lotus flowers, black and pink, fav movies, Idlewild, Geisha, five years from now? I would get the one symbol that means the MOST to you. I was too impulsive and kept getting tattooed without really thinking about the future, and how it would really look to other people when I got older. ( sadly, most people look down on people who are tattooed.) For your first one, make it small, and in a place that you can hide from your boss. Lots of employers might not think you're a serious person if you have a tattoo. (That's what happened to me anyway.) Just go with your gut instincts, and maybe draw a design that has some real personal meaning to you. Good luck!
Reply:Is the picture to show us where you'll be locating the tattoo?
Reply:i think taht you should like get a buterfly with a rose behind it. and the butterfly needs to be orange and red and the rose needs to be red. and you need flames behind the rose.
Reply:You should get a flower with a pink color and if you going to join the navy dine you should pick it your self.
Reply:Make it meaningful so you wont regret it. Your interests may change in the future..
Reply:A ROSE AROSE AROSE!
Reply:I would suggest not getting a tattoo until you've thought about it for at least 6 months with out changing your mind.
Reply:get a fairy on a lotus flower....make it pink and black
idk i tried to come up with something
Reply:Here's a creative suggestion. Change your pic to something other then a boob shot, and maybe some of us will take you seriously.
Reply:ok - think of anticipated life n navy ; so b cool wit da sight of tat ; once seen by someone w / or w/out uniform - it'll b private so i would invest into a little fairy w/navy colors %26amp; cap - either on , mid back , or u'r azz- yes-i have 1 there ! good luck !
Reply:You can find "tattoo pens" in the crayola isle of most stores-they wash off after a couple of showers. Go to the people who know you best and have them draw on you with them with what they think you might like. Or, visit your local tattoo places and have each artist draw something in the pen on you. Won't take too long, and you can live with it for a few days to see what you like the best for size, color, technique, and image.

On my left forearm, I have a tiny tattoo of my cat (taken from a photograph) it's outlined in black, and shaded, but with green eyes and a pink nose.

What do you think?
what do you all think of a lotus flower tattooed on the pelvic area. any other ideas..i want something cute that shows courage or strength
What do you think?
Get whatever you like just make sure you go to someone reputable.
Reply:get a small flower on your ankel or a long flowr on your lower back
Reply:to each her own...i have 2 and I don't care if anyone else likes them b/c I'm the one wearing them for life. I think a lotus is fine if that's what YOU like. I'm thinking of getting a dragonfly some where, just not sure where, my other ones are on my shoulder blades. Best of luck!
Reply:a lotus flower is a good flower to get. their my favorite. i plan on getting one also. prolly on my arm to cover a bad tattoo.
Reply:What matters is what YOU think. Honey, you are the one that is going to wear it for life. Of the tattoos I have, I know not everyone likes them, but you know what, I do.
Reply:Take your idea into your artist and have him/her draw something up for you. That is what they are good at and they like being able to come up with a design. Once something is drawn up you can decide if you want changes, etc. Having a piece of art that was designed just for you from your ideas makes it very special.
Reply:why not a eagle feather?? we indians see it as a sign of both courage and strength....plus feathers have a little curve...it will complement the curve on your body
Reply:whats a lotus???
Reply:No matter what you do or where you put it, someone is going to say it's wrong or bad. I say do what you want to. If you get it on your pelvis, make sure it's low enough so if you want to have kids in the future, it won't stretch out. Ankle is a cute spot as well. There is nothing more feminine than a butterfly, flower, ladybug on the ankle. (Or so my husband says.)

Trying to find artist and title of this song, a challenge - I can't find the answer anywhere!?
Lyrics:
An old bodhisattva sitting on the mountainside
Looking at the world ...
Knows the way the wind blows lives the way that life goes
Laughing and grinning at the ignorant masses
Chorus:
Can you spare a yen for an old Zen master?
Laughing at a world going faster and faster
Some know him teacher some know him beggar most know him not
But to me he'll always be just an old dharma bum
An old bodhisattva fightin' like Mahatma
Fill you with the peace he packs a fist full of love
Meditating, mantriating, his reality creating
The same beautiful world there could be for us
Chorus
Bridge
Om mani padme hum
I will always be a dharma bum
The jewel upon the lotus flower as it shall be now and forever
Old bodhisattva tell me all about ya think about the universe what's wrong and what's right
Show me how the wind blows is this the way that life goes?
Come on karma, dharma, man show me the light
Chorus
Bridge
The version I have is acoustic, just a guitar and a folk-y voice.

Koi and Floral leg piece tattoo?
I am soon to be getting a huge knee to foot Koi leg piece, with Lotus flowers incorporated into the design. I am a guy and i wanted to know if anyone thinks that it would be seen as femanine, or if lotus flowers are generally a unisex tattoo design.

Koi and Floral leg piece tattoo?
i know quite a few guys that have koi tattoos with some type of flowers incorporatetd into the tattoo. it's not feminine at all.
Reply:the Koi is a symbol of being a brave warrior
the lotus blossom is the symbol of eternal hope
this is because they only grow in dark, dank muddy waters, and the ethos behind this is "from something so woefully full of despair, something truly beautiful can come"
its a beautiful sentiment
take from it what you will
Reply:Not at all my husband is a tattooist and has a very similar design on both his legs and arms. Lotus flowers are the most common thing to go with koi's and they look amazing. I would not stress in any way that it is feminine as it looks hot as on guys and to this date he has never had a request yet to put it on a female and he has been tattooing for 15 yrs.
Reply:i think that it is a good tattoo to get!!! and no it can be for women and men!!! ive seen a lot of men with the koi and the lotus flowers with it!!!

Does anyone know what it means...?
when you get a tattoo of a lotus flower with the flames. I know what the lotus flower means. I saw something on the internet that said what the meaning is when there is a flame coming out of the middle, and now I can't find it.
Does anyone know what it means...?
i believe it means sacrifice-what u have givin up in life to get where u r.

Hi sweetheart,
I understand what you mean, you want the top tattoo but instead of the arabic you'd like the symbols.
I think that'd be gorgeous, the colours in it are lovely, and its very feminine. I think it'd look good where you want it too. 100% go for it!!!
Just make sure you pick a great artist, and dont pick one on price. Look at their work and see how good they are!!! Dont forget, they only put their best work on display.
Reply:GET THEM BOTH

the symbol for strength (chikara) is simply 力
I'd stick to the flower, it's safer. If you really want a kanji tattoo make sure you ask the opinion of a native speaker.
======================================
力 = strenght, power
量 = quantity, weight, amount
力量 = "physical strenght," ability, capacity
if you want the symbol that best represents strength that's 力
Reply:You better make sure that that tattoo really means strength.
When I say the first one, I automatically thought "Butt" for the location.
Reply:if you want to be original, don't get a tattoo between your shoulder blades, get it where your butt cheek meets your thigh and your name in cursive is always a good way to go.
Reply:I think it's great, it's a very nice choice, get the writing in it as well, I can picture it and it looks fantastic. Don't worry about what everyone else thinks, even me, it's your tattoo and you have to be happy with it. You will never get everyone to agree that its great, so as long as you like it, go for it!
Reply:Dont care if other people like your final product its your tat your body. Put it where you want and get what you want. Dont live your life for others.I don't know if this tat has any real meaning to you. Just don't get the same exact flower. Take your ideas to your artist and have him draw up a custom one for you. You can bring him the pics to help him see what you want. You should have something more you. Something you came up with. Something that describes your inner self not someone else.
Reply:A lotus traditionally signifies impregnibility/immuneness. Most girls I know do it as a sign of beauty to signify their womanhood. In China, it means immortality. So skip the kanji for "strengh/power" %26amp; just get the lotus instead.

In "The Good Earth": When famine strikes, how does modern technology from the west save Wang %26amp; his family?
I just read this book for my summer reading! The technology was the train. The train transported him and his family to the south into the city. Although the conditions weren't that great and Wang longed to go back to his land, the family was able to have food everyday and a place to sleep.
Reply:It doesn't? he just lucks out.

Reply:Look, you're going to have to *read the book carefully* (it's a fun read; I think it's much more enjoyable than _Sons_ and _A House Divided_, in the same trilogy. You're on your own for the reading and for doing the basic homework, sorry.
But here's a couple of leading questions, to help you focus a bit, when you're looking through it.
Wang Lung's family is slowly starving, they've sold everything in their house down to the very beds, and they've already killed off the one ox they owned. SERIOUSLY bad straits they're in....they're land rich, and that's it. They've got to head out to areas that aren't hit by the drought (and accompanying famine), they've got the old father, a couple of young kids, plus "the little fool"....it's not going to be easy to get from point A to B. You're talking anywhere from 50-200 miles, in our measurements. Check about 1/3 of the way into the book for the story of their travel, and remember that the story occurs well before the Boxer Rebellion.
(Does your book have any historical notes or commentary concerning the setting of _The Good Earth_? Read this for hints.)
Concerning Lotus Flower: She's a hottie, in the best teahouse in town. (She's basically a high-priced prostitute.) Totally gorgeous, as far as Wang Lung is concerned, especially when he's comparing her with his legal wife, O-Lan. (Remember, O-Lan had been sold by her parents to be a slave to a Great House and has low status; her feet weren't bound, so YUCCCH!; not pretty, but she sure could work hard, coming to the fields a couple hours after bearing her second son. What a gal!)
Wang Lung manages to get Lotus Flower to leave the teahouse and be his "second woman"---basically, she's his concubine, the equivalent of an in-house mistress. See the book for O-Lan's reaction to this......ooooohhhhwheee! But Lotus Flower manages to pull off a _really_ dumb move.....
This "dumb move" changes a lot of things within the family, and makes Wang Lung a little less easily led by his.....uuh....passions. That's the best kind of focusing I can give you. Once you see what Lotus Flower pulled, and realize how it affected other people (and the story line), you'll understand the rest of the book better.
Good luck!

Good luck!
Homework assignment?
Okay, now I have to write a compare+ contrast paper. I have to pick two topics, and, obviously, compare and contrast them. It can't be something like cats and dogs. It could be like two types of dogs and I'm comparing and contrasting them. I'm having trouble deciding which one to do. Should I do a golden retriever vs. a labrador or a lotus flower vs. a rose? My mom says not to a golden retriver and a lab because they're the same thing
Homework assignment?
How about a scenthound (like the Bloodhound or Beagle) versus a sighthound (like the Greyhound or Whippet)?
You could talk about what they're bred to do, why they're built differently, how the long ears and loud voices of the scenthounds are helpful when hunting with them, why the sleek aerodynamics of the sighthounds is beneficial for their job?
Reply:I guess it would be your preference. Do you want to talk about dogs the entire paper or would you like to talk about flowers? I think there is more to write about to use the flowers - colors, shapes, smell, how they are used, etc. :)

Royalty free tattoo designs....?
Hi, I'm planning a cover up tattoo on my back and have decided what I want but I can't locate any free designs to base mine on. I plan to design it myself but need some to look at as a guideline and was wiondering whether anyone could help me find any images?? I want a design based on the japanese lotus flower or something similar. Preferably in darker colours as it needs to cover an exisiting black tattoo that I've grown out of - it was good at the time but not now! Please no lectures on the perils of getting tattoos that you live to regret - I don't regret it for one second, just want something else!
Royalty free tattoo designs....?
Why don't you base it on a photograph and then trace it? Using Google, Flicker or some of the other sites people have suggested.
The other thing is that the tattoo parlor will often help you with a design free of charge if you get the tattoo with them. I have lizard that was part of another design that Id didn't like and the guy helpful re-drew it on its own for me.
It's worth going through all the books and if you see one that is 'kind of' what you want they will usually customize it for you.
Having said all that I did special search on Google and see my link for what I found...

Does anyone know of a movie about a fire nymph and a water nymph?
I saw this movie when I was a child and have no idea what it was. The two nymphs were in love but it was not meant to be. The only other thing I remember is that one of them died and had to be brought back to light by being placed in a bed of lotus flowers under the light of a full lunar eclipse. This may have been a foreign movie, possibly anime - it was a cartoon. It was probably made before 1988.

i have this movie but its a porn. Is this the same movie your talking about? The movie is called "Naughty Nymphs of Nature"
It's really good. 2thumbs up!

Mendhi as a real tattoo?
For all u that know what mendhi is, i wanna get a nice design as a real tattoo and incorperate it with a lotus flower, on my side, but i cant figure out how to get the design and lotus together, have any ideas?
Mendhi as a real tattoo?
This is very easy to do...there are browns like that that the artist can use to make it look like henna. Bring your ideas to the tattoo artist and he/she can incorporate them for you with little difficulty. Lotus flowers are especially easy to work other art in with them.
Reply:I think that would look amazing! Just go a google image search for mendhi designs and see whats out there. I'm pretty sure you can get books on amazon too.
Reply:I doubt it will stay on forever, if thats what you are planning.

Plant "reproduction"?
I am doing a project which is about comparing reproduction in a range of organisms.
We had to choose a mammal, something by binary fission so i chose amoeba, and the final choice is a flower/plant.
I want to do arum lilies or lotus flowers but I cant find anything about them producing more of themselves by natural means, all the info is by human help.
we're supposssed to outline whether they reproduce sexually or asexually, discuss any courtship and parental care and discuss whether they reproduce by K or R strategies.
I'm kinda confused cos i thought pollen just got blown by the wind from one flower to another and new flowers grow??
please help
Plant "reproduction"?
Mammals are easy, but you have to choose any type of bacteria for binary fission, it should be really easy.
All plants, with or without flowers, reproduce sexually. In the case of flowering plants, the pollen from one flower has to reach the stigma of another flower (if it happens in the same flower the plant will be a clone, but it ver rarely happens in nature). There are two ways in which it can happen, either the wind carries the pollen (as it happens in cereals and grass) or an animal pollinates the flower, usually insects like bees or butterflies, but also some birds can do it. The flowers have special structures, colours, etc. that help them draw their pollinator. Once the pollen reaches the stigma two things happen. Pollen is actually formed of two cells, and double fecundation occurs, one of the cells fertilizes the egg cell, which will eventually turn into the embryo that will be inside the seed; the other cells fetilizes one accessory cell that will become the endosperm, a tissue that will provide energy to the embryo or "feed" it. The endosperm is the fleshy part of the fruits, it usually looks that way. Plants don't obviously have parental care, but sometimes the seed germinates while the fruit is still attached to the plant. The reproductive strategies of plants vary depending on which plant family or group you are talking about.
Flowering plants are divided into 2 mayor classes: Liliopsida %26amp; Magnoliopsida. Lilies are in class Liliopsida inside the subclass Lilidae, the order Liliales %26amp; the family Liliaceae. They are the most evolved monocots and are pollinated mostly by insects.
Lotus flowers, on the other hand, are in class Magnoliopsida, subclass Magnoliidae, order Nymphaeales (all lotus flowers) and there are 2 families Nelumbonaceae and Nymphaeaceae. These are the most primitive dicots and have relictual characters that belonged to the primitive angiosperms. Their pollen is uniaperturate, it only has one germination pore. Since these plants live in water, they are pollinated through water, the pollen is transported trough water to the stigma.
Hope it helps :)
Reply:Pollen is passed on by bees and other insects. they go in to the flowers to collect pollen or nectar and so pass it from flower to flower.
Reply:All plants reproduce sexually, by exchanging pollen from one flower to another. Pollen contains gametes (like sperm), that combine with the gametes present in plants' female sexual organs to form a fertilized cell. The flower then develops into a fruit containing seeds. Note that flowers can be either only male (containing stamens), only female (containing pistils), or can be hermaphroditic (containing both), depending on the plant. Also, some plants are capable of self-fertilizing, while others are not.
Incidentally, amoeba do NOT reproduce by binary fission - they are eukaryotes and undergo mitosis.
Reply:asexually through pollen
Reply:use the 'bumblebee orchid' as an example. it has flowers that look and smell like a female bumble bee. the male bee is tricked by this flower and attempts to mate with it. instead of fertilizing a bee, the plant attaches a sac of pollen onto the bee. the next time the male bee makes the same mistake, the pollen sac is transfered to the stigma of the next flower and fertilization takes place.
here are a few links that describe this cool system:

Reply:Plants produce using pollen and stigmas or something. Or probably ovaries. So, what happesn is that the pollen is carried by the wind, or a bee, to the ovaries of the flower where it polinates the seed and fertilizers the plant.
Reply:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zantedeschi... contains some good information on the plant you are looking at. Under normal conditions it will reproduce using its rhizomes - underground root systems, (asexual) however when this water loving plant suffers drought conditions it will flower and thus engage in sexual reproduction. This will not just be by pollen being blown, but by insects and animals engaging in pollenation.

What does 'enmire' mean?
Here is the online text I found it from:
What Does Buddhism Teach?
Soon after his Enlightenment the Buddha had a vision in which he saw the human race as a bed of lotus flowers. Some of the lotuses were still enmired in the mud, others were just emerging from it, and others again were on the point of blooming. In other words, all people had the ability to unfold their potential and some needed just a little help to do so. So the Buddha decided to teach, and all of the teachings of Buddhism may be seen as attempts to fulfil this vision — to help people grow towards Enlightenment.
What does 'enmire' mean?
enmire means "to become mired".
Mired means stuck, or bogged down. A mire is a place like a bog or quicksand - a place that you could get stuck in.
According to Webster a mire is:
1 : wet spongy earth (as of a bog or marsh)
2 : heavy often deep mud or slush
3 : a troublesome or intractable situation %26lt;found themselves in a mire of debt%26gt;
roller blades

What should I name my business???
I'm a 23 year old spunky girl starting a wedding photography business. I don't want anything trite or boring like "precious memories" or anything like that. Everything I like seems to be taken. I wanted Lotus Photo or something like that because of the symbolism behind Lotus flowers, but that it taken. Does anyone have any good suggestions?
What should I name my business???
It's very important that whatever name you choose that there is a .com domain name available. Otherwise people may be confused or not able to find you online. Dot com domains are the most valuable, and are getting to be very hard to find.
I have been buying and selling domains for a while now and I specialize in photography and wedding domains. You can check out my website at http://www.photodomainnames.com and see if there are any that you are interested in.
My prices may be negotiable depending upon the name you are interested in. With some domains selling for millions of dollars the time to buy is now before the prices climb too high! We may also be able to work out a lease arrangement.
You may also be able to use some of my domain names for inspiration for one of your own. You can check the availability of (and buy) domain names at 1and1.com and they are the cheapest and the best in my opinion.
P.S. I worked with the people from lotusphotographers.com in NYC last year. :-P

Good for you and good luck!

When Lucy Smith tells you about her photo business, it's easy to remember.
