Guruvayurappan?

Why is the stem of the lotus flower held in Guruvayurappan's right hand inserted into the toe of his right foot?

Guruvayurappan?
Guruvayurappan is a form of Vishnu, the lotus he is holding is a symbol of protection, enlightenment, but also of healing. He walks upon lotus feet, so the statue uses the stem to connect the hand and the divine feet.

King Janamejaya, who's father died by snakebite, killed millions of snakes for which he was cursed with leprosy. He took refuge under the feet of Sri Krishna, Guruvayarappan, and dreamt of great joy holding the hand of the god and the lotus was passed over his body, curing him of leprosy.
Reply:Guruvayurappan is not telling why?

The stem may be too long.
